An organization from Balti asks the mayor for funds for the sterilization of vagabond dogs
The Association for Animals’ Protection from Balti asks the mayor of the locality to allocate some financial sources for the sterilization of vagabond dogs, DECA-press informs.
The appeal was launched after, last week, several inhabitants of a district from Balti announced about cases of poisoning of vagabond dogs.
Despite the fact he realizes that the problem of vagabond dogs is painful and sensible in the locality, the mayor of Balti, Vasili Panciuk, asserts that, they need much money for the sterilization of all the vagabond dogs from the town. “We have the possibility at this moment to sterilize only 3-4 dogs per week, and this is too little for the big number of dogs here. I saw in Iasi a centre of sterilization in which 400 USD were spent for each dog per month. These are great sums of money for us”, Panciuk declared.
A week ago, this association accused the municipal communal services that they had taken measures of killing dogs from a district of Balti by means of poisoning them. The accusations were rejected by the administration of ME „Gospodarie Specializata Auto”. // DECA-Press
