About 20m lei went to purchase tickets to summer camps for children from socially-vulnerable families
Approximately 20 million lei has been allocated from the state budget this year for sending children from socially-vulnerable families to summer camps. This money was used to purchase 20,107 tickets to summer camps.
Viorica Dumbraveanu, the head of the Family and Child Protection Division of the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child, said that the tickets are being distributed to children aged between 7 and 16 from families on low income, one-parent families, families in which the parents are disabled or pensioners; to children that are under guardianship, live in family-type children’s homes or temporary placement centers.
A ticket costs between 605 lei and 1,100 lei. The summer camps opened on June 10, 2008 and will close on August 20, 2008.//REPORTER.MD
