A young man from Republic of Moldova arrested in Albita with contraband cigarettes of 11 thousand Euros
A young man from Republic of Moldova was fined on Tuesday with over 23 thousand lei by the customs authorities from Albita (Romania) for having tried to introduce on the territory of the Romanian state a minibus full of 11 thousand packages of contraband cigarettes, DECA-press Agency transmits.
According to the Border Police from Romania, the minibus under consideration was registered in Romania and was conducted on the moment of arrest by the Moldovan citizen Dumitru V., of 22 years old. He declared that he had nothing in the car and that e had to reach the district of Prahova in order to give the means of transport to the owner.
As a result of a detailed control of the minibus, the police discovered packaged of cigarettes „Pall Mall” and „More”, hidden in specially arranged places in the floor, walls and in he back-sit of the car. The goods estimated at 11 thousand Euros and the minibus – at nearly 10 thousand Euros were confiscated at the borders of Albita. // DECA-Press
