A Merry Christmas with Santa Claus (VIDEO)

The adorning of Christmas tree, singing carols looking forward to Santa Claus are the activities that are doing more fans among the population year by year.

Is there during the year a more light and happy period of gifts, wonders and family meetings?

It is spoken today about the "Christmas spirit" and that spirit was and is still maintained by the Holy Christmas carols – some kept since the old times, some more modern. Christmas carol singing is one of the most famous winter customs, and one of the most attractive Christmas family rituals is singing carols for parents by children that bring wishes for health, happiness and luck. Christmas carols convey festive atmosphere and good mood with that all families celebrate Christmas.

A symbol of the celebration of Christ's birth, known by all, is Santa Claus – a legendary character who brings gifts to children – entered the Romanian culture in the mid-19th century, with the tradition of adorning of Christmas tree. After the joy of decorating the tree together, parents can enjoy the happiness of children at "the coming of the Santa Claus" – the gifts' dividing join those small and big by giving them precious moments.

The Christmas tree was firstly made from cereal straw or hemp straw, on which were laid white beans; it was decorated with corrugated paper streamers of red and white colors. They were replaced by the Christmas tree with globes, garlands and candle to symbolize the light reviving on winter solstice. Among the family Christmas rituals with an important role in the maintenance of an atmosphere of relaxation and emotionality, adorning of Christmas tree is most beloved by the children, and why not, by adults!

The spirit of Christmas is the one that should be kept alive regardless of the time that comes, of economic and political transformations. If we lose the religious holidays’ miracle we can consider lost in this austere world.
