A family living in a village from Soroca has been living in a house without electricity for nine years
The Vovcs from the village Egoreni, the district Soroca, has been living in a house which is not connected to the central electricity network for nine years, DECA-press Agency transmits.
Vovcs’ house is situated one kilometer away from Soroca, the residence centre of the district with the same name. In the remote past, there was a tractor depot on that territory.
“We sold our house in the village and bought this one because we have five girls and we have to give them dowry. Nine years ago we did not pay much attention that the house wasn’t connected to the central electricity network,” Gheorghe Vovc states.
He adds that he wouldn’t mind the lack of electricity if there weren’t those five grandchildren from their two daughters who had gone to work to Italy and Moscow and whom the grandparents should bring up.
The Vovcs say that it is easier for them in summer while, in winter, lack of electricity causes them great trouble.
The authorities cannot help this family because they do not have the necessary technical equipment. In order to get them connect, the authorities need to spend 150 thousand lei. // DECA-Press
