7.2 earthquake in California, Mexico on Easter Sunday (video)

CNN reports that a several earthquakes and aftershocks rattled the Pacific Coast of the United States and Mexico on Sunday, including a magnitude 7.2 quake that could be felt across Baja California, Arizona and southern California, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The 7.2 earthquake had an epicenter 37 miles south southeast of Mexicali, Baja California and occurred at 3:41 p.m. Easter Sunday afternoon, near Calexico, in a geothermal area known for earthquakes. As many as 19 aftershocks were registered - 16 in California, 3 in Mexico.

There were no immediate reports of injuries and only limited reports of damages from that quake. The quake was welt about 175 kilometers (110 miles) east-southeast of Tijuana for about 40 seconds, causing buildings to sway and knocking out power in parts of the city.
