4th death swine flu in U.S.
A woman with pre-existing health problems is the first person in Arizona to die from the (A)H1N1 flu. This makes the 4th death in the U.S. so far.
The Maricopa County Health Department in Arizona reported that the woman in her late 40s died last week of what appears to be complications of the new strain of influenza, the Associated Press reports.
To date, Arizona has confirmed 240 cases of swine flu, and 151 of those have been in Maricopa County, East Valley Tribune in Arizona writes on May 15.
The other deaths in America were in Texas (a Mexican toddler and a school teacher who died days after giving birth) and in Washington state (a man in his 30s). Each suffered from other illnesses when they were infected with the virus.
